The Archangel Cathedral introduces the Quarters to the Alex(is) Universe and the Triptych society. Trinton is a damned creation carrying the weight of pain he caused his once lover and is unable to confront it. As he is forced to take up protection of the keys to the gates of Hell he finds himself in the midst of an unbelievable battle where a once friend turns on him, ultimately leading to his spending several months making his way through Hell, only to discover when he awakens the one he betrayed and has been running from took care of him -- a powerful move of redemption. Together the group confronts the evil and a climactic battle places good versus evil with a twist in the ending bringing about a startling discovery about the key and the gate.
